Leon is a very happy cat by Mother of Cats on 12 December 2019

We bought two and this is a review for the smaller one. Leon is an 18 month old ginger tabby who weighs about 4.2kg and is a finer boned cat than his brother. He has loved his basket and for the first week, once wed put newspaper and an old jumper into the base, it was his favourite place to sleep. Even though it was bought as a carrier, it looks really nice in our home and works as a cat cave. When we had to take him to the vet shortly after taking delivery, he went into it happily and had no complaints when we travelled by bus to get there. Its easier for me to carry than the 50cm one but thats to do with me and not the basket. You need to put something in the base otherwise itd be very uncomfortable but thats easy to do. They both like the smell of the baskets and having something to chew. As the humans who paid for both baskets, were delighted with them and have no hesitation in recommending them, plus theyre not plastic so more environmentally friendly.

The cats loved it by Mother of Cats on 12 December 2019

We bought two baskets and this is a review of the larger one. This basket was for our larger cat; an 18 month old tabby who weighs about 4.8kg. We had a wicker basket theyd both fitted into when they were kittens but we needed something larger. We were attracted to this one by the price and other peoples reviews. Genuinely not disappointed. As soon as we unpacked it, they both happily sniffed it and explored it. For the next few days it was a big part of their games (we left it sitting out in the kitchen) with an odd nap being taken in it. It was plenty big enough for Sascha who can stand up and turn around in it. Its great being able to remove the door when its not needed as a carrier.Coincidentally they needed to go to the vet a few days later. We went on the bus and it was easy to carry, fairly easy to fit on a lap and the metal grid on the door allowed fingers to be put in so that they could be stroked and reassured. Most importantly, because theyd been playing with it there was no fuss about getting Sascha in plus it was really easy to get him in and then shut the door. It was interesting how many admiring looks the basket received and we also got a number of positive comments for having a wicker basket rather than a plastic one.Id have no hesitation in recommending it. In fact, I did recommend it to a friend who bought one for her cat and he seems to be equally happy with his.

A great product. by dide on 20 October 2019

I wanted a solid carrier as I don't trust the plastic ones that come in half. I also wanted one where my cats could easily turn around in rather than only going in one way. Both my cats have slept in these and seem happy. I did check for any wicker ends inside and trimmed off anything I thought might pose a problem. So far,so good.

Lovely basket by Angela on 8 August 2019

My kitten loves this basket. He will take himself off to bed when he fancies a nap. It is big enough for his blanket and some toys. Really pleased with it. It is nice to look at and sits in front of the French doors so he can look out into the garden. Recommended. Great service from Pet Planet.

Lions Den by rosa on 23 May 2019

Omg Love it and so does Daisie doo She’s been sleeping in it for hours can’t get her out This is her Den and she’s not leaving it So content and perfect size at 50 ml plenty of room to grow She’s not a kitten at 14 months and she’s a Maine Coon so expecting her to get much bigger but plenty of room

Finally a tasteful carrier! by Freya on 23 November 2018

We were due to collect our rescue kitten and have so much drama in the past trying to get cats into plastic carriers that when I read the great reviews on this I thought it would be worth a try. Especially at this price, so reasonable as the ones in the pet shops near me (exactly the same) were in the £50 mark which seems silly for a cat! Anyway the reviews are right our kitten was not phased at all by it and we even left it at the shelter for a few days before we picked him up so he was used to it. Now it sits in our office as his hidey hole with the door off and still looks nice!
